The Merchant House serves wonderful food followed with a wonderful atmosphere. The hosts and hostesses were hospitable and gave us much attention. They were helpful in recommending menu options. The food is worth two trips. In fact, I will be going back again while in town!

We stopped here for lunch after touring the area. There was not much of a crowd, so we were seated immediately. They have a very nice craft beer list, over a dozen to choose from. I had the beef tallow double smash burger. It came with grilled onions and a side of fries. The fries were hot and crispy. I think a slice of tomato or some lettuce would have served the burger well, but it was still good. My wife went with a chicken Benedict sandwich. It had pineapple and pickled jalapeno. She really enjoyed the taste. This is a nice place. The seating area is located between rustic looking brick walls and gives it a retro feel. The bar area is spacious. Our server was friendly and efficient. For our first time here, this was a positive experience.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff and large portions all made this a must stop if your in the area. I personally ordered their chicken and waffles and it was absolutely delicious. And I don't say that lightly! We tried an array of apps, and I think my favorites were the giant pretzel with beer cheese and the spinach artichoke bread bowl was the best I have had! That along with the wide array of craft brews along with the classics(Bud light, Miller light) made for a memorable experience. Well worth stopping by, I will definitely go out of my way to come back here!

This is our first time eating downtown in Greenville after moving into the area besides stopping by made rites of course. I have to say this is probably the best food I've had in a while. Food was cooked perfectly. The chicken and waffles is definitely the way to go at our server. Andrew was great.

Love this place!! The cocktails are delicious and the food is so good! I recommend the Scotch Egg appetizer and the Chicken and Waffles. The fish was average but the waffle fries are very good. We will definitely be back!

Dinner was delicious!! Had a milk stout craft beer in draft that was fantastic. The server was nice and helpful. Will come back again!

Love the team that works here and the food and service they produce! A favorite spot for my wife and I. My only complaint is there are too many options that I love on their menu. If I had to pick a couple I would suggest the chicken and waffles or the fish and chips, both are excellent.

My husband and I shared with our server that we were celebrating our 22nd wedding anniversary, when we were finished with our meal she dropped off a card signed by the restaurant staff!! SO SWEET!! Thanks for making our celebration sweet!
